2. How Your Data is Stored

All data generated by API Checker (saved requests, environment variables, test history) is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third parties.

3. No Third-Party Services

We do not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising networks. There are no cookies, no tracking scripts, and no data sharing with external services.

4. API Requests

When you test an API endpoint, the request is sent directly from your browser to the target API. The request may pass through our proxy server to bypass CORS restrictions, but we do not log, store, or inspect the request or response data. The proxy acts as a pass-through only.

5. Your Control Over Data

Since all data is stored locally in your browser, you have complete control. You can clear your saved requests, environment variables, and test history at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage or using the delete functions within the application.

6. Security

While we don't store your data, we encourage you to follow security best practices. Never share sensitive API keys publicly, and be cautious when testing APIs with production credentials. Consider using test environments and limited-scope API keys.

7. Children's Privacy

API Checker does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Our service is open to all users without registration or data collection.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Since we don't collect your contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes.

9. Open Source

API Checker's code can be reviewed to verify our privacy claims. We encourage transparency and welcome security audits of our implementation.
